Agustina and baby Clarita

Testimony of a Madre Fenix from Uruguay

April, 2020

My name is Agustina and my boyfriend is Walter. Our Clara was arriving this April. On February 3rd we went to an ultraound where they told us she didn’t have the weight nor the height for 30 weeks. I also had a Doppler ultrasound that revealed the blood and nutrients flow wasn’t sufficient for her. On February 5th they decided to interrupt my pregnancy for our baby had better possibilities outside my womb. Everything went well until February 16th while living the hard experience of having our baby on the NICU unable to do a thing for her, so little and fragile, we could only fill her with love.

That day within a few hours everything went dark, by noon she decided to leave us, to fly to another plane. A part of us went with her, the pain and biggest void a human being can ever feel. It hurts everyday, we cry, we miss her, but we are trying to heal and grief her from a place of love. We connect with our eternal guardian angel the way we can.

Our babies in heaven never leave us, they choose us because we are prepared to survive the tsunami and transform pain in never ending love, eternal, inconditional, the one that transcends any plane, moment or place.

Do not give up.

Thank you for sharing with the Phoenix Mothers Community, it is enriching to learn from one another, to know that many of us are chosen around the world to live a special motherhood that brings with itself great gifts and learnings. Allow yourself to discover this vision of love.
